Dutch resistance (Nederlands verzet) during the Second World War in German-occupied Netherlands. During World War Two the Netherlands was occupied by Germany. Different Dutch people resisted German rule in various ways: Bernardus IJzerdraat, Helena Kuipers-Rietberg (Tante Riek), Gerrit Jan van der Veen, Jannetje Johanna Schaft (Hannie Schaft) and Walraven van Hall all put in efforts to resist the German occupation.
