Despite dramatic regional changes, Jordan remains of strategic importance to Israel’s security. Hashemite Kingdom is often seen as an artificial energy-poor state, surrounded by hostile and more powerful neighbours. Still, it has been a key element in the American and Israeli security concepts for the region for over half a century.
